Currently only the JetBook Lite can read DRM books in the eReadre format. The JetBook (regular not Lite) currently cannot read DRM books although they're been promising "real soon" in the next firmware update. This "real soon" is a fairly old promise right now.

DRM books are readable on Jetbook-LITE only.

The updated firmware version for Jetbook will be released shortly. New version will support DRM books as well.

I bought a jb for my wife a year ago thinking it would download best sellers. I found out quick that it wont. I have been in contact with ectaco since I bought this ebook reader and have been strung along all this time. The update is coming the update is coming. I gave up and bought another brand of ebook reader and would suggest no one by a jb or jbl. If the company thinks so low of their customers to string them along this long they dont deserve our business.

Actually, the JetBook Lite is quite a decent book reader. Ectaco has addressed the major useability issues with the latest firmware release - and they weren't to slow getting it out the door. There are some interface issues that users would like addressed, but the functionality of the device is spot on now.

On the other had, if I had purchased a regular JetBook, I'd probably be pretty ticked by now - it seems like those users have been getting nothing but empty promises. From the outside, it seems like they have stopped developing for it and just focused on the JetBook Lite.

My parents has bought me a jetBook during their visit to the USA.
I am living in the Netherlands, but now it seems that it is hardly possible to download and to read Adobe DRM protected ebooks on my jetBook.

Adobe DRM is the DRM standard in the Netherlands and will be soon all over Europe.
What is Ectaco going to do about it, as it seems my jetBook is not suitable for this continent, so I have to buy (or to get) a new other one, which can support Adobe DRM.

You might want to do some research before buying another ereader, not all of the devices on the market handle all of the different formats of books or the different variations of DRM schemes.
