I just received my EPg850, but have several problems.
(1) the sidebar menus do not work properly. Click "idioms" goes to the phrasebook. Clicking "extras" goes to the audio player. Clicking "phrasebook" goes to the text translator. Clicking "calendar" goes to settings. And so forth. Resetting the translator has no effect on this.

(2) I cannot figure out how to enter most of the Portuguese diacriticals. For example, à ã ȇ. Neither ctrl-char nor alt-char gives the desired diacritical.

(3) In the main menu, typing the number of the item does not take me there. For example, in the dictionaries main menu, typing "4" takes me to settings instead of English idioms.

(4) the manual talks about the games Pockets, Translation Test, and Spell It Right, but I cannot find them anywhere on the unit. How do you access them?

Dear customer

(1)
- Please try to reset the unit and calibrate the screen again.
It is necessary to tap the target firmly and accurately at each location on the screen. The target will continue to move until the screen is aligned.

(2)
- You need to select the desired unit's section (Dictionary, FlashCards or Phrasebook section)

After that change the translation direction to Portuguese->English.

After that tap on the icon of the Virtual keyboard.
When the keyboard is available on the units screen, tap on Alt button on it too see all additional characters available.

Then select desired character taping on it.

Thanks for your help. All of my problems are now solved except the sidebar issue. However, resetting does not help that. I have already tried that several times. The sidebar icons are just not linked to the commands they are supposed to be linked to. As I indicated before, clicking "idioms" goes to the phrasebook. Clicking "extras" goes to the audio player. Clicking "phrasebook" goes to the text translator. Clicking "calendar" goes to settings. And so forth. Resetting the translator has no effect on this.
