I cant register my software either. There was a key in the confirmation email, but the software does not allow to enter it. It's written on the website that i am supposed to receive a .key file with the order confirmation and then to copy that file to mt hand held. But there was no file attached to the confirmation. I am completely confused.

I have already spent an hour trying to find an answer on the website. The site organization is awful. Try to find your software name in a fold down menu in the support application form - around 500 items, sorted an a way that makes impossible to find anything.

I am not a complaining person, but I got frustrated and annoyed. I want to use my software.

Dear Andrei,

The required download and registration information including the rkf file was sent to your email address in the order confirmation letter.
The rkf file is provided as a link and not as an attachment. You should download this file to your PC and then transfer it to PDA with ActiveSync software and PC connection.
You should then transfer it to "My Documents" folder and launch the downloaded software on your PDA.
When the Registration window appears, please press "Open File" button and select this *.rkf) file. After you press OK, you will get a confirmation window of successful product registration. If the registration window didn't appear when you launched the software, please go to its Tools->Registration tab.

Dear sirs!
I transferd the lingvosoft-dictionary-pkpc-engrus-nt-41.rkf-file into the My Documents folder.
Then I open the programm LingvoSoft Travel Dictionary 2008 Multilingual
for Pocket PC.
Now I see the registration screen:
In the middle there is a window/button wich says " BUY NOW! "
Klicking it gives no changes. I can only klick on the "OK"-Button on the right above.
Doing it the program starts.
I klick on Tools and go to "Register....."
Now there is the same registration-screen again but it is not possible to registrate.
I cannot find any "OPEN-BUTTON".
Please help me! Thank you!

Dear Dieter,

The lingvosoft-dictionary-pkpc-engrus-nt-41.rkf file is a registration key file suitable for registration of LingvoSoft Dictionary 2008 English <-> Russian for Pocket PC, and not the LingvoSoft Travel Dictionary 2008 Multilingual for Pocket PC.

This is the reason why you cannot use this file to register the multilingual dictionary.

If you purchased the LingvoSoft Travel Dictionary 2008 Multilingual for Pocket PC you should access the correct registration file by logging in to your account at our website.

I ordered Michaelis Portuguese dictionary software on March 21. I cannot open the file, nor can I access my account. My order confirmation contained no registration key or instructions. Both my emails and phone messages are ignored or passed onto another dead end. My order number is $COM-207010.

The software developers sent you the required download and registration information by email.

If you claim that you did not receive it, please send us an email to sales@ectaco.com with your order reference number in the subject line so we could forward it to the software developers and request the information to be re-sent.

Dear Valyar,

I have installed the software (link from my account) and I have downloaded the rkf file to my ppc.
When I tell the programm to register it searches my ppc and also trumbles over the rkf file but it does not register?!?
I have opend the file with the editor and the product id is equal to the product id in the software.
Is something damaged in the key?!?

BTW: I also have no "open" button.

This seems to be a regular problem with the software. The key is there, it's the right key, but the software doesn't find it, even though it's in the my documents folder. I even tried putting it in various other folders and places - to no avail. Now when I press register, the program simply exits. I am in conversation with tech support, but so far they have not found a solution, after three days of exchanging emails. Very frustrating.

Has anyone esle found a solution to this problem?

I am using windows mobile 6 on an O2 XDA Stella (HTC TynTII).

If you have the key number it means that you've got the old software version. To get the .rkf or .key file, you should order and pay for the new version of the software online.

Oh, I had no problem logging into www.ectaco.com/account, the problem is it does not show the versions I purchased. Instead it shows 2008 demo versions of the software and next to it 25 character keys. Of course 2008 versions don't accept 25 character keys, they need key files.
I also still have the original order confirmation e-mail with links to download the software I bought, and those links also retrieve the newest versions of the software, not the ones I ordered: 2006 and 2007.

And Val, please no more canned replies, OK?
